And I Awoke…

I don’t think I have a photo with much more color in it than the one above.  I took this pic of Phish back when I was a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign (Nov. ‘97 for those keeping count).  I had a part time job as the staff photographer of the Assembly Hall, home not only to the Fighting Illini’s basketball team, but also to any larger bands touring through the Midwest and looking for a place to play in between St. Louis & Chicago.  During my time at “the hall,” I was fortunate enough to photograph a variety of different events and concerts, everything from monster trucks to Johnny Cash.  Needless to say though, this Phish show was definitely the most fun as their fans were literally bouncing round the room for the entire three hour concert.  Must have been something in the water.  Or maybe the brownies.
