Picturific

Here’s a still from the first short film I ever made.  As a matter of fact, the entire film was a series of still images that told the story of two cameras on a date, called Picturific (if you go to the Shorts page on my main website, you’ll be able to watch it there if you feel so inclined).  I co- wrote & directed the piece with my longtime collaborator, Justin, and two of us spent several weekends around town taking pictures of these two cameras.  Notable locations that we “filmed” at included: a photo booth on Hollywood Blvd, the beach in Santa Monica (above), and Spielberg’s screening room at Amblin.

It was actually for this project that I finally took the plunge and bought a digital camera (Nikon D70), which I’ve since used for the greater majority of the images I’ve posted on this site.  So I’ll always be grateful for having made this film, and to this day, it continues to make me smile any time I watch it.  Especially the outtakes at the end during the credits…
