SXSW pt.1

Now that it’s officially 2010, I can legitimately start looking forward to getting back down to Austin for South By Southwest.  Ever since my friends, The Amazing Pilots, first invited me to come watch them perform in the music portion of the festival back in ‘04, I’ve been hooked on SXSW.

For those that have never been, SXSW is one of the largest music fests in the US, with something like 1,500 bands playing over four days in the middle of March (when the UT kids leave for spring break).   It’s an orgy of live music (and Shiner Bock) that I truly look forward to every year.   So what better way to daydream, then to post a handful of picks I’ve taken there over the last six years…
