About Me

Long before I got into filmmaking, photography was my first creative love. I could never really conquer any musical instruments, nor can I paint or draw to save my life, but I’ve always been able to take a pretty decent photo. I started simply enough with point and click disposable cameras as a kid. Then in college, I graduated to interchangeable lenses and developing my own film negatives. And now of course, with the digital revolution at hand, I have my Nikon D70 and trusty iPhone.
There’s just something about capturing a split second moment in time that has always appealed to me. To be able to look at the world that surrounds us, from the ordinary to the extraordinary, and to try and find the potential beauty in all of it. To create a snapshot catalyst for the memory and the imagination.
I’ve created this digital gallery of sorts for a couple of reasons: partly just to catalog the many images I’ve taken over the years, but also to share the pics with any and all that might find them interesting to look at. For now, I’ve decided to preserve the integrity of the images and not watermark them. I know that by putting these photographs online, there’s a good chance that some of them will be stripped and copied from the site and pasted elsewhere. If you do want to use the pics for whatever, hopefully decent, reasons you have, I would just ask that you please give credit and a link back to the site.
The above photograph was taken in July, 2005 on a ferry in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Malta. The sunglasses are being worn by my friend Pat on a day trip to the island of Gozo.
